What the..
I just read the repeal against “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” was blocked. I guess supporting our troops is just too much to ask, eh?

I was so disappointed about that, especially since the Republicans were saying they philibustered it because the Dems were doing it to gain gay sympathy for the midterms. Ugh, if you don’t want them get favor, make a bipartisan effort against bigotry and vote to repeal. Then you can stand up and tell the LGBT community you as well stood up for them. But oh that’s right, you don’t want to, that was your excuse.
Seriously, I hope some day soon we will overcome the narrow mindedness and be able to look back on this and think, “Wow, how could that kind of discrimination have been allowed in our country?”
I totally agree about looking back on it. Maybe I’m a bit contemporary and liberal but I’m shocked that, at this point, we can’t yet look back on it and think , “Wow, how could that kind of discrimination have been allowed in our country?” =/
