well one day our prey
unbeknownst did lay
and along came the hunter to slay

but raymond the deer, was a rebel at heart
and in this foul play he’d have no part
he lept at the air, and kicked up the ground
and roared off into the horizon, with quite a sound

the hunter stood shocked, brought down his gun
alas he’d failed, to capture “the one”
the rebel deer named raymond
