My name is Nicole, but both online and off I go by Cole.

I am currently living in San Antonio, Texas with my husband, Rian. Recently we moved from a military base in Japan to San Antonio. I am adjusting to Southern life and the wonderful heat of Texas (not). It's good to be back on American soil but it's still so different from the American I am used to. However, we're glad to have more opportunities available to use and are happy to finally start our "real" life together. This includes the newest addition to our life: a Russian Blue kitty named Phantom. I am currently a part time student taking online classes as MATC.

I love to write, and although I do not write as much as I used to, I'd love to get something I wrote published. I believe that I have some talent, but nothing great. I write stories and poetry, but anyone who knows me knows that I quickly quit what I start. Finished projects aren't my department.

I also like to ocassionally draw and sing, but I'm not very good at either. I often see pictures, paintings, and drawings in my mind but one of my biggest problems is creating. You can ask me, but I do, and always will, tell you that I'm not an artist. However, the artist in me is never completely happy with what I create, and in the end I will always be on to another, bigger project.

I rationalize a lot. I will come up with reasons for everything I do, everything my friends do, and even everything my mother does. I need a reason. I always need to ask "why?" This may be the cause of my tendency to overthink things which, in the end, only causes more hassle and torments me from the inside out.

I spend much of my time on the computer, webdesigning, reading online comics, and at forums. I love to be involved in different communities.

One of the most important aspects of my life in my ineterest in music and I spend much time with my headphones on, or listening to music on the computer. In sixth grade I was drawn to it by an unexplainable force. Since then I've been listening to local radio stations, buying CD's, and downloading songs as much as possible. I also think that whoever invented MTV Rock is perhaps an ingenius person, and whoever took it away should be shot.

My favorite band was Metallica, but after a while I needed something that had more lyricality. I find that I love music that's fun, but I prefer music that has a meaning, a message. I like Linkin Park, Three Doors Down, Savage Garden, Placebo, The Eagles, Cold, Pat Benatar, and Alanis Morissette. I also like some bands who are not in the mainstream: VNV Nation, Apoptgyma Berzerk, Lullacry, Godhead, Collide, etc. Yes, I do listen to some Manson. While I am not a fanatic, I know well enough that he doesn't represent the Gothic subculture or cause people to open fire on their schools, and I am not a Satan worshipper.

I, however, am not a big fan of many of today's "teen idols." Their music is all prerecorded, they've become adept at lip syncing, and the pop image of today could make anyone throw up. I believe a song should be released because of good music or lyrics, not because the person singing it does so half naked.

Another important character to mention here is my kitty, Floppy. (= He currently lives with Mom and Tim and I miss him, but he has a happy life where he can eat and sleep and bask in his 35-pound orange glory!
