It’s like this you see..

My mind is a swirling vortex (although, not of win) but much less is actually happening in my life. I haven’t managed to get much done as my current situation makes it hard to concentrate and occasionally just a little too depressed to work up the motivation to do things. Like blog. Although I put up almost all of the content, now, including the guess and win pages with a little ingenuity. I hope you enjoy playing! I even installed a new poll plugin but my questions suck. Suggestions are welcome!

I’m not sure if I will reinstate the site contest I had before. It only had limited success and I never actually made the winner anything for it. I’m bad, I know. I like the idea, though, and this corner of the internet hasn’t held any contests like that recently. We’ll see. I may also be working on a new layout. Maybe. Sorta.

Pop Quiz!

I don’t know if I mentioned this since I was so distracted having my husband back but my quizzes are back up (except for the pet and stuffy ones which need to be badly updated). So take a quiz!

Also, he’s a bonus: I finished adding all the inspirational reads and jokes, too.

I also uploaded all the downloadable fonts and adoptables, too! I’m awesome, right?

Slowly But Surely

I am working on the rest of the site content. I even added a new page to help you find a good webhost. Although all the links are up on my content page, many of them won’t work. You’ll just have to click around to see which ones do. (Hint, anything on the sidebar works). There is method to my madness, however. I am starting with the easiest projects first and leaving the most formidable for last which means fonts and interactive things like surveys and quizzes will take longer. I have at least another hundred pages to do, yet, and many more files than that.

I also added a plugin for WordPress which makes all of my pages as well as my posts searchable to replace the old search page. (I still love the Edward Scissorhands layout, though)

New Tutorials

I finally got around to adding some tutorials (for PSP) I wrote up a while ago and had posted elsewhere on the internet.

If you head on over to the tutorials, you’ll find some new ones:

I also did a major overhaul on the Image Optimization and Compression tutorial.

Techno-What?/A Fool Such As I

I began writing this entry with the intent to tell you all that I will be writing a few blog posts in the future which build on an article already on this site: Blog 101. Except, that article isn’t on this site. It’s one of those things I’ve been procrastinating about!

Expect that soon! Then, can you also expect some blog posts (which I will eventually add to the site as articles) which discuss advanced Blogging tools such as feeds, social networking and ping/trackback.

In that vein, I figured I better claim my blog at Technorati which I will now do. Go ahead and step over to my Technorati Profile (which I probably won’t ever use).

Speaking of my site, I added some Valentines Day icons for use on Livejournal here.

Also, a little anecdote from my life. I woke at 8:16 this morning, to the sound of the alarm, and hit snooze while rolling over to cuddle Ryan for a few moments as I usually do. Shortly after, I receive a phone call from work, the cashier leader asking me why I wasn’t already there working harvest?

It turns out I had looked at the schedule wrong! I swear I worked lunch (what I was getting up for) at 10:30 but, NO! I was supposed to be in a 7. E’gads. We’ll see what type of trouble I am in now.
