Colourizing Parts of Images
This is a different way of colourizing an image. It is not just tinting it (although you could do it this way). I use this when I have a b & w image that I want to add colours to. For instance, I had these flowers, and wanted to colour the petals and stem. This is how I did it.

First open your image. If it’s not black and white, you need to make it. Go to Colours “> Greyscale. This will turn your palette colours to shades of grey. You need to maximize the ammount of colours. Go back to Colours “> Increase Colours “> 16 Million.

Select the Retouch icon, in the Tool Options Menu click the Retouch Options. From the menu select Colour To Target.

Adjust the size of your cursor. I suggest 1 px at first and then outlining. Then you can go a little bit larger when you know you won’t mess up the edges. Hopefully your product turns out nicely.

Here is another example from an image of Christina Ricci.
