Autosave and Workspace

Autosave

How many times have you been working on an image and had PSP or your computer freeze only to restart and realize you’ve lost everything? Even if you weren’t very far along this occurance is very upsetting and hours of hard work can be lost in the blink of an eye. Luckily PSP has an option that can help us from preventing our work.

If PSP crashes, Autosave will save your work to a temporary file which will open once you reopen PSP.

Open PSP and go to the “File” menu. From there select “Settings” and then click on “Autosave Settings.” The settings box will appear. Check “Enable Autosave and then set the number of minutes. Mine is set pretty low, at 1 minute, so my image will be saved to a temporary file every 1 minute. If you set it to a higher number, say 5, your image will only be saved every 5 minutes. If PSP crashes, you most recent changes may not be saved if you set at a higher number. Preview
