While not everyone participates in sex, someone from every walk of life does. Young, old, short, tall, fat, thin, attractive, ugly - you name 'em and he or she is having sex.

There are a few types of people/people who aren't having sex. Religious figures such as nuns and monks or the clergy are among these. There are those who are not having sex because they are physically not able, and this might be only temporary.

Some don't have sex because their relationship has issues, they feel insecure, are single, are prohibited to engage in sexual activity, are in long distance relationships or because of many other reasons. Many of these reasons are emotional reasons which are personal and distinct for each person.

Additionally, probably the largest group of those who are not having sex are those who have chosen to remain abstinent, either until marriage or until the right person/time comes along. Generally young, these people have made a conscious decision to abstain from sexual activity; although, sometimes those who have already have sex decide to become abstinent again for whatever reason.
