Not everything on the internet requires you to don your reading glasses or even participate. Save for clicking a few links, you can sit back, relax and feast your eyes upon nothing but eye candy (okay, the internet is full of much more than pretty pictures). You can find anything ranging from image galleries of celebrities, portfolios, movies, flash videos, porn, comics, to personal images.
Most visuals fall into one of three categories: images, videos and porn.
The
image group includes all digital images (including animated images such as GIFs) as well as real life pictures/photographs (which may be scanned or uploaded form a digital camera), web comics (like newspaper comics but displayed online) and artwork of either a traditional or digital medium.
The videos category includes full length movies, short films, clips from movies, amateur film videos which are often shot with an at-home webcam or digital camera, and flash videos which can be of various lengths and either amateur or professional. Videos are divided into two significant categories:
legal and
illegal.
Pornography is, obviously, adult material which can come in the form of images or videos. It varies greatly in quality, length, professional, style and subject. For some it’s used purely as entertainment whereas, for others, it’s used as stimulation.
