On a lighter note, I recived a $5 check today. XD It was the reimbursement for my work permit.
Something I posted at Avon. Someome made a topic aobut how web/graphic design will be very competitive especially with so many people saying they're going into it. A surprising amount of people there said they were only doing it for a hobby. Anyway.. my reply..
"To whoever said that the degree isn't worth it.. pretty soon you'll need a degree to work at Mcdonald's. If you've ever taken an economics class you'll realize it's damned near impossible to make it without post secondary education. It's scary. :?
Many people here said there were only doing this as a hobbie which makes me feel more reassured. :lol: I love designing and coding. I know I've got a long way to go but I really want to take that journey. I'm not the experiment and do it yourself kind of person, I need a little direction and it seems logical for me to go to college for this. I've been accepted into IADT chicago and Collins College (like you care d=) and they both have visual communications degrees. This is something I really want to do. I love sitting down at the computer and coding stuff. I feel so restless when I'm not. It consumes so much of my time, why shouldn't I make a career out of it? I can tell you one thing, I will not sit and bitch about my job for 30 years.
And yes there will be competition. So I will try harder, learn more eagerly, and give my best. When that isn't enough, I'll push more. There's competition in everything and if you're not ready for it you might as well become a hermit. I don't know about where you guys all live, but around here jobs are still tight. It took me more than half a year to find a new job after being laid off. It took my mom's boyfriend (who obviously has tons of experience and in managerial work too!) months to find a job. He was "overqualified." Those, my dears, are the facts of life. You be the best you can be so you outshine the competetors. You keep learning, striving, and growing because there is no other option. I don't have years of experience in my back pocket but I think it's not so different in other fields."

I was typing up this entry and I accidentally closed the window. Grr!
I am cold because Ginger and I just walked home from school (we both only had the first exam today and now I'm done! Yay!). Even though we called mom and she said John was coming to pick us up, he never showed. After 25 minutes of waiting we left because he should have been there in 5 minutes or so. He probably went back to sleep because mom called him after I got home and no one answered!
I'm glad I'm done with my exams but I'm going to miss some of the classes. I think I did pretty well in the classes I had exams in except for Chemisty. I probably got a B or a C but the exam wasn't easy. I did do my note card and looked over the book for 2 hours, but I lost to review packet (I don't know how since I almost never lose things for class anymore! )=) so I didn't have that to study from.
Brit Lit was fun, I love to read and I'm going to be well read unlike some people. The teacher was nice and while it was a bit of a slacker class it was a lot of fun with Holly, Beth, Erin, Sammy etc! I'm going ot miss Econ only because we learned so many interesting and important things. The teacher was a bitch and most of the students were too. Small animals and pets was a waste of my time. -rme* It was always fun in advanced comp because the boys did so much stupid shit. Heh.
Well Jen graduated now and she starts college on Monda.y I had to force her to let me hug her yesterday. )= But I know she's all nice and stuff on the inside. (=
I might do something with Ashley today, I don't know.

first time in Chicago

first time In anyplace bigger than the twin cities

First time seeing skyscapers
there were a lot of other firsts too but these are just the ones I can think of.
Overall it was fun and it's just to huge there. They have no building rights up to the water because some political type persons made a law against it way in the beginning. It's cool because the road winds along between beaches and parks and other scenic things before the buildings start.
My aunt's house is very cute! She has a new doggie named Sydney and he is very good. We took him on a car ride today. (=
I did some reading and homework on the way there and back but I still need to do my chemistry. Grr I don't want to.. Well I'm looking forward to talking to my love soon ish but I've run out of things to say!

BTW if you've seen a 404 why aren't you reporting the error?

A: Do you have any idea what the name is? In that case click Search under the Start menu. If not try start menu > My recent documents and it may be there. You should always be saving files in a folder you will remember, such as My Picture or My Documents. If you accidentally saved it to a temporary folder it may be lost and you'll have to find it again.

With that said Ed doesn't want to go down to Chicaog until Saturday morning because he wants Shelly to go with. I like her and all but I don't want to have to sit through a 4.5 hour drive with them being there - as a couple. Yes, I'm weird.
I'm still not going to school tomorrow.
Oh! Our phone line doesn't work. When you pick up a phone it sounds like there's someone hooked up on the other end. It rings when someone calls but the caller ID doesn't work and when we pick up we can't talk. So everytime it rang tonight it was uber annoying.

I am going to Chicaog on Fridya so I get to miss school. I also ab going to be able to spend time withmy aunt and uncle and see Chicago. This will be uber fun!
I hope tomorrow goes quickly. We have the 8 period schedule and today was our last block day, ever. I didn't finish my chem lab so I pasted the new one in. They're both due on Friday but I thought I'd turn one in tomorrow - it won't work. I'll need at least tomorrow night to finish so I guess it's not my fault if I turn it in on Monday.
I wonder if Debbie knows Ed has to stay to. Oh well.
I've been so tired lately. I have also taken tons of naps and it sucks cause then I don't wanna go to sleep when I'm supposed to but if I don't take a nap I fall asleep to early. I wind up tired because I slept too much.

I cried when the vice president was talking about leukimia and then our principal gave Mr. Fischer a special honourary plaque thing becase he's going to be retiring, and I cried too. It wasn't because Mr Fischer is such a great teacher but just the fact that someone took time to honour someone else so much.
So, yes, I'm incredibly sappy.

I love Winamp 5! It looks good and works even better. At fist I thought there were a ton of new features, but really they're just wya better laid out. It's much easier to use, and the basic interface it much cooler too. It gets better; you can use your old skins! ^_^ So I think you should all go download Winamp 5 now!
Tonight we're going to a financial aid meeting and mom's curling her hair and stuff. So Tim and I were making fun of her. We're mean, I know, but it's so much fun. Piglet's being a little weirdo again. Mom and Tim went to his mom's house so I watched her. She laughs so much when the dogs are being silly or fighting. It's cute, but I do not think she is the cutest baby in the world. However, she may be the heaviest one. I cannot hold her for long anymore without switching arms.

I love Winamp 5! It looks good and works even better. At fist I thought there were a ton of new features, but really they're just wya better laid out. It's much easier to use, and the basic interface it much cooler too. It gets better; you can use your old skins! ^_^ So I think you should all go download Winamp 5 now!
Tonight we're going to a financial aid meeting and mom's curling her hair and stuff. So Tim and I were making fun of her. We're mean, I know, but it's so much fun. Piglet's being a little weirdo again. Mom and Tim went to his mom's house so I watched her. She laughs so much when the dogs are being silly or fighting. Luckily I am no longer getting 80 some emails a day from that virus, but this has happened before and I know it's only stopped for a while.
I do have some questions to answer so here they are.

What one thing are you most looking forward to . . .
1. ...today?
Talking to rian
2. ...over the next week?
Deciding upon which college I'm going to which will involved me going to Chicago. This probably won't be in the next week, but it will be sometime soon. I've enver been there or been anywhere even remotely as large as it so I'm pretty excited! Plus I'll get to spend time with my favourite aunt who I never see!
3. ...this year?
College but hopefully I'll have a good break that includes Rian time..
4. ...over the next five years?
Seeing the sights, traveling the country, graduating college, getting out on my own in the world. Eventually i'll get my license and I'll have a job. Perhaps it will be at a graphic design firm.
5. ...for the rest of your life?
I like not knowing. There's the chance that I'll do so much. After I work I hope to be able to travel and to spend time with the ones I love. It'd be great to spend time in Europe and Australia. Perhaps at some time I'll go back to school or start a family of my own. I hope I'll be able to do some volunteer work
does anyone know of a script/hack so I could credit my commentors that works with blogger? (I know I know, but it's just too easy for me not to use it! d=)

Well, it's freezing here! Actually that's a little lie because it's about 40 degrees COLDER than that. We have a wind chill that's below zero, Luckily Ginger and I got a ride to school from John and Grace picked us up.
I still have not made up my mind about colleges and it is so difficult, you cannot begin to imagine! Both schools are great and either Phoenix or Chicago would be a lot of fun. There's not really any negatives so I cannot use those to judge either. Mrs Frederick from the career center doesn't know either of them so she can't give me a push in either direction. -sigh* There's nothing that just really stands out and so many things are even! I am going to try to get down to Chicago for a weekend or something and visit my aunt so I can see what the city's like.
Last night I hung out with Mel and Ben. We rented some movies and went to taco bell. We went back to Mel's and watched Donnie Darko. I <3 DD! It was a lot of fun..
Im thinking about taking a little nap right now..
But first I need to bitch. I am so tired of that stupid sobig.f etc virus. I've gotten 100 + e-mails a day because of is in the past few days and Norton pops up for every single one of them! It's so annoying and I can't block them by subject, or at least I don't think Mozilla Mail will let me. If you know differently please let me know.
Also, for my sake (maybe for your own) could you guys run virus scans often? If you don't have an antivirus program you can get a free scan online. Click here.
