yes, if you don’t wear black all the time you’re not gothic
if you don’t listen to gothic music all the time you’re not gothic
if you happen to like some bright colours you’re not gothic
if you think it’s nice to be happy sometimes you’re not gothic
if you can be hyper you’re not gothic
if you like cute things, kitty cats, etc you’re not gothic
and here’s the kicker
if you do what you do, think what you think, wear what you wear, or listen to what you listen to because it’s something you like, even if it doesn’t fall into that damned label you’re not gothic
whatever happened to people thinking for themselves?

it’s a subculture based on conformity. it is the ‘dark’ counterpart of what they all hate.
no wonder they’re all depressed all the time.
